Tracking Recovery and Healing

Recovery journeys need the most care and the least interpretation. Journae's role here is simply to keep a clear, dated visual record you can review yourself or show to a professional.

Follow clinical guidance first

If a clinician has given you instructions about dressings, movement or photography, those instructions come first. Only photograph when it is safe and comfortable.

Keep the record consistent

  • Same distance, same light, same body position.
  • Include surrounding skin for scale and context.
  • Photograph at the same point in your routine each time.

Use it as a reference, not a verdict

  • Healing is uneven and often slower than expected.
  • Bring your dated photos to appointments — they are useful evidence.
  • Do not use photos to decide whether something is healing correctly.
