1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may only use Journae for your own personal tracking, or for someone in your care with their knowledge and consent.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly at support@journaeapp.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
3. Plans and features
Journae offers a free plan and paid plans. Plans differ in the number of active journeys, access to AI insights and action plans, and export and reporting features. The current limits are shown on the Pricing page and may change; if a change reduces what you already pay for, we will tell you before it applies.
4. Payments and renewals
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor on the cycle you choose.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each cycle until cancelled.
- Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of tax as indicated at checkout.
- Failed payments may result in the plan reverting to the free tier.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Journae lawfully and in line with the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, do not upload photographs of another person without their consent, and do not use Journae to harass, deceive or harm anyone.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store, display and process your content solely to operate the service for you — including sending selected photographs to our AI provider when you request an observation. We do not use your content to train our own models and we do not publish or sell it.
8. Our intellectual property
The Journae name, logo, interface, written guidance and software are ours or our licensors'. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use our branding without permission. Press usage is covered on the Press Kit page.
9. AI-generated output
AI observations, confidence levels, summaries and suggested next steps are generated automatically and may be incomplete, imprecise or wrong. They are supportive descriptions of photographs, not advice, diagnosis or treatment. You are responsible for how you act on them. See the AI Transparency Notice and Medical Disclaimer.
10. Availability
We aim to keep Journae available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and maintenance or provider outages can cause downtime.
11. Suspension
We may suspend or restrict an account that breaches these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or is used unlawfully. Where it is reasonable to do so we will contact you first.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Journae is provided 'as is'. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data resulting from your own deletions, or decisions you take based on AI output. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
13. Termination
You may stop using Journae and delete your account at any time. We may end this agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach. On termination your right to use the service ends and your data is deleted in line with the Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the Journae operating entity is established, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that country. The specific entity details and registered address are published here once registration is finalised.
