Many people use Journae alongside a skin, hair, dental, recovery or fitness routine. It helps you see change over time. It does not assess your health.

Journae is not a medical device

Journae is not registered, certified or intended as a medical device. It is a personal photo journal with automated visual descriptions.

Journae does not diagnose

Journae will not tell you what a mark, patch, lesion, symptom or change is. It describes what appears visibly different between two photographs and nothing more.

Journae does not prescribe or recommend treatment

Journae does not suggest medication, dosages, procedures or clinical treatment, and it will not tell you to start or stop anything a professional has advised.

Observations may be incomplete or inaccurate

Automated visual observations can miss things that matter and can describe things that are not really there. Treat them as a helpful second look, not a verdict.

Photography affects results

Lighting, camera angle, distance, focus, make-up, hair styling, skin tone rendering and image quality all change how a photograph looks. Journae shows a confidence level for this reason. Consistent conditions give more useful comparisons.

Speak to a professional when you are unsure

If something concerns you, is changing quickly, is painful, or simply does not feel right, please speak to a doctor, dermatologist, dentist, pharmacist or other qualified professional. They can examine you properly; a photograph cannot.

Urgent concerns

Journae is not for emergencies and no one monitors your entries. If you need urgent help, contact your local emergency number or urgent care service directly.
