AI PROGRESS INSIGHTS

Gentle observations on the change you're too close to see.

Journae compares two of your own photos and describes, in plain language, what appears to have changed. Every observation is descriptive and non-diagnostic, and every one carries a confidence level so you know how much weight to give it.

What ai progress insights gives you

Descriptive, never diagnostic

Insights describe what is visible — density, tone, texture, definition. Journae never names a condition, suggests a diagnosis or recommends treatment.

Confidence levels on every observation

Each observation is rated low, medium or high confidence based on how consistent your photo pair is in angle, lighting and distance.

Better photos, better insights

Guided capture matches your framing to your last photo, which is what allows an observation to be about you rather than about the lighting.

Trends across months

Monthly summaries roll individual observations into a longer view: what went well, where consistency slipped, what to focus on next.

Turns into next steps

Insights can generate an editable checklist so an observation becomes something you can actually act on this week.

Private by default

Photos live in private storage and are only ever analysed for your own account. Nothing is public and nothing is sold.

How it works

  1. 1

    Capture consistently

Take your photo with the guided overlay so the angle, distance and lighting match your previous entry.

  2. 2

    Pick two dates

Choose any two entries of the same angle in the same journey — day 0 and day 90, or last month and this month.

  3. 3

    Read the observation

Journae describes the visible differences in a short paragraph, with a confidence level and the date range it covers.

  4. 4

    Decide what's next

Keep the observation on your timeline, add it to a report, or turn it into an action plan for the coming weeks.

Insight · Hair Growth · Day 0 → Day 90

Hairline coverage appears fuller along the temples.

Overall density looks more even than the earlier photo.

Confidence: High · angles and lighting closely matched

Illustrative example. Journae describes visible change only and never provides medical advice.

Common questions

Is this medical advice?

No. Journae is a personal tracking tool. Observations describe what is visible in your photos and are not a diagnosis, assessment or treatment recommendation. Speak to a qualified professional about anything health-related.

What makes an insight low confidence?

Mismatched angles, different lighting, a change of distance, or too short a gap between photos. Journae tells you when a comparison isn't reliable rather than guessing.

Are my photos used to train models?

No. Your photos are analysed to produce your own insight and are not used to train models or shared with other users.
