What we aim for
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our design reference. We have not completed an independent audit and we do not claim formal certification or full conformance.
What we do today
- Semantic headings, landmarks and page titles on every screen.
- Keyboard access and visible focus styles for interactive elements.
- Accessible names on icon-only buttons and controls.
- Colour contrast checked against the AA target for body text and controls.
- Layouts that reflow on small screens and support browser zoom.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced motion preference in animated elements.
Known limitations
- The guided camera and before/after slider rely on visual comparison; we provide text observations alongside them but the underlying imagery cannot be conveyed fully in text.
- Some third-party embedded flows, such as payment, follow the provider's own accessibility behaviour.
- Automatically generated AI text is not written to a fixed reading level.
Reporting a barrier
If something is hard or impossible to use, email support@journaeapp.com with the page, the device or assistive technology you use, and what happened. We aim to reply within five working days and will tell you what we can fix and when.
