Tracking a Hair Journey

Hair changes slowly and looks very different depending on styling, dryness and light. A fixed set of angles and a monthly rhythm make it possible to see the direction over time.

Angles to capture

  • Front hairline at eye level.
  • Crown from directly above.
  • Left and right temples.
  • Back, if length is part of your goal.

Keep it comparable

  • Dry hair, same parting, same product amount.
  • Same light and time of day.
  • Photograph before a haircut, and note the haircut date.

What to note

  • Routine changes and start dates.
  • Shedding you notice and when.
  • Stress, illness or major life changes.
  • Season — shedding often varies through the year.
