Tracking Body and Fitness Progress
Body photos are extremely sensitive to pose, posture and light. Standardise those, and genuine change becomes obvious over a few months.
Standardise the shot
- Front, side and back, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Same fitted clothing every time.
- Same time of day, ideally before eating.
- Feet in the same position — mark the floor if you can.
Pair photos with context
- Training done since the last photo.
- Sleep and recovery.
- Any change in nutrition or routine.
- How you actually felt that week.
Review sensibly
- Compare across 8 to 12 weeks minimum.
- Expect weight and shape to fluctuate within any week.
- Direction matters more than any single frame.
