Your Photos, Your Data: How Journae Protects Privacy
Progress photos are personal. Here is how they are stored, who can see them and how to delete them.
Progress photos are some of the most personal images people keep. That shaped how Journae stores them: private by default, tied to your account, and never published or shown to other users.
Photos live in private storage and are served to you through short-lived signed links, so a URL cannot be passed around. Nothing is shared unless you deliberately export or share a comparison yourself.
When photos are used to generate an observation, they are processed to produce that observation and the resulting text is stored against your entry. Journae does not sell your data or use your photos to advertise to you.
You stay in control
- Delete any photo or entry at any time.
- Export your data from settings.
- Delete your account and its contents permanently.
- Choose what a shared comparison contains before you share it.
